In 2001, Bruce led the effort to master plan a new family aquatics park and premier golf clubhouse for the City of Durango. The site was an old clay quarry nestled into the Rocky Mountain foothills with extraordinary views and topography.
The Splash Family Aquatics Park offers a unique destination experience differing from larger commercial water parks. Shade covered decks wrap the “beach” water entry so little kids and parents can each have fun in close proximity. Body and tube slides, spray grounds and a giant tipping bucket provide fun for all ages. Great grille food is available on a landscaped patio and the City features fun events like a dog swim festival to give the Splash a truly unique feeling.
